you should get your ears tested pronto. first by a gp to see if they just need a good syringe, then a specialist like frank cass in kimmage. get pro earplugs for gigs, be the best money you ever spend, i always wear them in noisy pubs too, great for conversational listening. get better ipod headphones that don't leak noise, so don't need to be so loud.

Anyway it was lovely to meet new people that I met last night and get further acquainted with the ones I'd met before, though I venture my being an unambitious conversationalist and arriving quite late meant that I didn't talk to very many people at all. But I did get very drunk so all is well.
