Wednesday took on Cantona after some ban he had in France had finished and no one in France would touch him.
He was with Wednesday for a week where he played 5 a side and the like in pre season training. Trevor Francis, though impressed, asked him to stay for another week on trial to see how he performed on grass and intense 11 a side.
Cantona told him f**k off.

THe important thing to note about Cantona is that he wasn't an automatic starter for Leeds in the last few months of that 91/92 season.
Still, he was on fire at the beginning of the ill-fated 92/93 campaign. Then something happened and he disappeared, probably went back to France. I hear he's an actor now.
