What movie did you watch last night? (8 Viewers)

Saw this yesterday, pretty good 'hard' sci-fi of the thoughtful, idea-driven type with a whole lot of allusions to films like 2001 (including a speaking computer that's like HAL's more well-adjusted little brother), Silent Running, Solaris, etc.. It ends up being about questions of identity and scientific ethics and I didn't feel they quite pushed the premise hard enough for it to be fully succesful but it's well made (directed by David Bowie's son!) and well acted, definately worth a look if you like any of the aforementioned movies..

Yeah, I liked this a lot.
Great job by the boy Rockwell. Clint Mansell too.

For the full experience, you should see it in the Lighthouse.

I thought it was ok - started off well enough. The Gerty character is ridiculous and the ending is based on what is surely the most unlilkely programming error ever!

Good to see dwarves getting roles that aren't primarily dream based !!

I was watching that last night too and thought it was pretty great.
It was just a pity about that abrupt ending.

Very strange but cool Terry Gilliam film about the daughter of 2 junkies who makes her own fantasy world to escape reality. Good stuff.

Great stuff. Also nice to see that being in space doesn't stop Sam Rockwell showing his ass off. (He must have it put into his contract or something at this stage)
