RTE 2’s new 6 part music show, “When Under Ether” kicks off at 11:50pm tonight with Delorentos & David Geraghty… and Michelle Doherty.

RTE 2’s new 6 part music show, “When Under Ether” kicks off at 11:50pm tonight. Presented by Michelle Doherty and Elton Mullally, the first show brings us Delorentos & David Geraghty as live guests. We can’t tell you anything else about the show since all we have to go on is what can be found in the RTE listings & the RTE guide…

The RTE website TV listings say:

Music programme with Michelle Doherty and Elton Mullally, who bring you the latest from the world of alternative music. Delorentos and David Geraghty feature as live guests.

While the RTE Guide says

You’ve got to hand it to Michelle ‘the Doc’ Doherty: no sooner has she been canned from her music show on Channel 6 (now 3e) she fetches up on the national broadcaster with a new series that promises to be indier than thou. She’s joined by Elton Mullally (wot used to be in a band called Brando) to bring you news, views and videos from leftfield so expect the likes of The XX and Grizzly Bear. Delorentos and David Geraghty feature as live guests in tonight’s show. By the way, that title comes from a PJ Harvey song.

When Under Ether is a new video-based alternative music show. Broadcasting for 1 hour on Tuesday nights on RTE 2, it is hosted by former Nightshift presenter & Phantom 105.2 DJ Michelle Doherty and musician & former Nightshift producer Elton Mullally.

The show covers all aspects of the alternative music scene, with a keen eye on homegrown talent. It will feature a dynamic video play-list, band interviews, live performances, and a comprehensive guide to gigs and cultural events nationwide.

Featured artists in Episode 1 include: The XX, Arctic monkeys, Grizzly Bear, Super Furry Animals, Ann Scott, Health, and Talking Heads.

Dave Geraghty is interviewed having just released his excellent second solo album “The Victory Dance”. Delorentos are live guests performing brand new single SECRET.

Episode 1 will broadcast on Tuesday 10^th November on RTE 2, at 11.50pm.
