Im not her friend. I just dont think that one fucking plagiarised film review warrants this much discussion. And no it's not. Both mean that the journalist has completely failed to do their job. At least if the plagiariser nicks quality work then they've not contributed to the cess pool of ego driven garbage that often constitutes credible critical journalism.

And yes it is. No returnies!
But Vinnie this is thumped!
Right...
Film reviewing... as in big budget Hollywood movie film reviews... doesn't actually require any knowledge about movies or films or anything.
There really are not that many films which appear in the large cinemas. And the vast majority of films shown in cinemas are simply formulaic and, basically, shit.
Films cost a lot of money to make and have to rely on tried and trusted themes because the people pumping the money in to these productions want to get a return on their investments.
You get maybe one or two films a year (maybe four or five) - from all countries - which could actually be considered as challenging or fulfilling or interesting.
The rest is simply total shit.
So when a film reviewer... and that includes esteemed cinema reviewers such as Mark Kermode... gives a review you just have to take it with a sea-full of salt.
You go to the cinema to be dazzled by a big shiny screen and not think for about two to three hours. The last film I saw was The Dark Knight which was a good way of spending three hours. But then so is lying on a sunny beach drinking beer. Or going for a walk. Or having an afternoon nap.
You may as well go with what the press release says about the film because all films are the same - just the same actors pretending to be slightly different to some typecast they wring dry.
The review for this Step Brother film should just be:
"Will Ferrell and John C Reilly. They've both got curly hair, are likeable and this time, instead of being rivals, they're step-brothers. John C Reilly and Will Ferrell. Together. Again."
all films in the cinema are shit.
I know this because I've seen one film in the cinema in last 6 months.
