Not for Janer obviously.

The event is called "Pro-Choice Campaigning" and is intended to be a working
meeting as opposed to one involving speakers and questions. There will be a
series of workshops designed to produce realistic and practical ideas about
how we can advance the pro choice campaign in Ireland today.

Introduction and overall facilitator Ivana Bacik, Reid Professor of Law,TCD.

Workshop 1
Abortion: A class analysis
Facilitated by Aileen O'Carroll
(Workers Solidarity Movement)

Workshop 2 Pro-choice outreach campaigning
Facilitated by Ailbhe Smyth
(Womens' Education and Research Resource Centre, UCD)

Workshop 3 Direct Action
Facilitated by Aoife Cooke (RAG Collective)

This agenda is open to change and suggestions on the day.
The meeting will take place at 3pm on Saturday 27th January in the Central Hotel, Exchequer St.

(hosted by labour youth  )

abortion is murder
plain and simple and if ur mother had one you wouldn't be able to post this crap.

I won't enter thread again, infact I'm off to bed.

Pretty much everyone in Ireland who wants one gets one don't they? I don't see that it's that big of an issue.

There was a gruesome/awesome article in the Observer on Sunday about back alley abortions in El Salvador, where abortion after a certain point is murder with a minimum sentence of 30 years. *shudder*

On a serious note, I did really read about them being performed over here ages ago in the paper. Along with plenty of other back alley 'medical' procedures

The major issue for me is that its perfectly acceptable to go to England to get an abortion(if you can afford it) but you can't get one here.

Seems hypocritical, kinda like our "neutrality" I suppose.

Personally I'm not pro-abortion but very, very pro-choice.

So fucking sketchy. ugh.

Whatever about the 30 years such a point must surely exist.

Let's not get into this. It's so loaded.

I don't know about it being considered acceptable. But implemeting laws to illegalise that would be insane and would involve shit like checking womens wibbly bits on their way back through customs, just in case.
