Well what I'm describing is Dr Lektroluv, Digital Circus, Optimo, Tiga, the Calmpdown guys, Bodytonic's guys, Jon Averill, Tiefschwarz, Philth and Seki... those kinda guys.

I wouldn't say dead at all. But if you're looking at it as a "pure" type of music, then I wouldn't really be in a position to judge.

I've been to Pogo - about 5% of the people there are there for the music.
Never been to Backlash.
All the artists you mentioned above are either electroclash or electrohouse.
All that s**t is mainstream now. Pretty much every second pop song in the charts has a big analogue bassline and drum machine beat.
It's mainstream.

but what about all the new synth/electro bands in the mainstream like hot chip/css/RID/klaxons...there definitely is a movement in the mainstream towards electro-orientated rock.
