Tieranniesaur release their self titled debut album on 28th July. It’ll be available as a download, on cassette & will also be the first Irish album to be released on Playbutton.
Tieranniesaur came into being as a home recording project for husband and wife duo Annie Tierney and Padraig O’Reilly. Sketch!, the first song to emerge from the sessions, featured on the Popical Island #1 compilation in June 2010. It was subsequently featured as Nialler9’s pick from the compilation and ranked in his “Best songs of 2010”. The song appeared in Drowned in Sound’s Dublin #1 feature and received regular radio play.
In the year since Sketch! first appeared, Tieranniesaur’s ranks have swelled to include five more members who soon became an integral part of the Tieranniesaur sound.

The album will be available as a digital download, with the physical release only available as a limited run of Playbuttons and cassette tapes (which will include a download code). This is Ireland’s first Playbutton album release. For the luddites out there, a Playbutton is a self contained badge & mp3 player, full of modren technology. Fancy.
