The Walpurgis Family launch their debut album ‘Midsummer Party’ this Friday, 21st May, in Bewley’s Café Theatre. Mumblin’ Deaf Ro & Jonny Fun and the … Hesitations will also be playing.
Even though The Walpurgis Family is comprised of three fifths of Dublin band Groom they are a different proposition.
You join them at a key point in their history: the release of their debut album.
Midsummer Party is a collection of songs written by singer/guitarist Jeroen Saegeman. Over the course of the ten songs you will hear about subjects as diverse as a party on a mysterious island, public transport and homesickness. In one of the songs you will hear an entire kitchen used as a percussion instrument.
The band celebrate the release of Midsummer Party with a gig in Bewley’s Café Theatre on May 21st, at 8:30 pm. They are extremely proud to announce that Mumblin’ Deaf Ro and Johnny Fun and The…..Hesitations will provide support on the night. Admission is €5 or €10 with a copy of the album. They hope to see you there.
