They’ve also announced some live dates for Cork, Dublin, Galway, Dublin and Dublin.

Following on from their 2014 double A-side digital single Neil Forgets His Glasses/Home, The Run Ons headed back to Hefttrax studios to prepare four more slabs of frighteningly catchy alt-pop rock.

Born in a crossfire hurricane, The Run Ons have been ploughing a sweet seam of 90s infused indie rock since pricking ears with their debut track He’s A Great Bunch of Lads on the 3rd installment of the now legendary Popical Island compilations. Straddling the line where Big Star and Pavement meet the songwriting smarts of Field Music, they like to keep the hooks hooky and the guitars fuzzy.

The EP will be available to download from therunons.bandcamp.com as a pay-what-you-want download on March 25th. See them live at the fine establishments:

March 27th – Mister Bradley’s, Cork (with Hags and Switzerland)
March 28th – The Mercantile, Dublin (with Galants and Switzerland)
April 2nd – Roisin Dubh, Galway (with Galants and Oh Boland)
April 10th – The Thomas House, Dublin, Ratskeller Club
April 11th – Whelans, Upstairs, Dublin (supporting Hags)
