Four years in the making, The Dudley Corporation‘s Year Of The Husband finally sees the light of day on July 4th on Absolutely Kosher records.
As befits such a long-awaited release, the album is getting two launch gigs:
4th July – Andrew’s Lane Theatre, Dublin with Giveamanakick & Mumblin’ Deaf Ro
18th July – The Buffalo Bar, London
Year Of The Husband features guest appearances from Carol Keogh (The Tycho Brahe, Autamata), Nigel Farrely (Waiting Room) and Kenseth Thibideaux (Howard Hello, Pinback), while Rocky O’Reilly, Don Zientara, Rob Bochnik, David Odlum, Kris Poulin all had a hand in the delivery process.
The Corpo are quite proud of their new arrival… which is just as well really, considering it’s taken them half the entire existence of the band to get the album out the door. Having reached #59 in a Hot Press greatest albums poll, Dudley says he’ll be gutted if they don’t rank better this time. "It is, after all, at least one better".
Going on the few rough mixes of tracks heard so far it’s a lot more than just one better…
