Combining a visceral rage with a vindictive vernacular, Sweat Threats are the result of locking yourself away for an entire year in a rehearsal space, to remember why you started making music in the first place.
Irish duo Matthew Sutton (Tayne) and Niall Jackson (Bouts /Swimmers) formed at the tail-end of 2016 and sculpted this project throughout 2017 before adding Jesse Gander’s (Japandroids, White Lung) impressive mixing skills.
The duo’s new single ‘Suffocate’ drops Tuesday, September 11th, in anticipation of their debut six track EP ‘Sweet Treats’, coming out on #CassetteStoreDay this October 13th on Wonky Karousel records.
Sweat Threats dropped their first single “HERMIT” at the start of 2018 and follow up with “Pop My Cherry” on 02/02/2018, 3rd single ‘Suffocate’ is ‘a post-punk, post-grunge onslaught’ – Raw Meat.

Themes of abandonment, reclusiveness, male toxicity, loss of youth and staying positive in the face of political turmoil are all tackled, victoriously so.
