Jung Turks debut album Liber Eth which was due for release this week has been delayed.
“We’re sorry to let you know that there will be a delay in the release of the record. We collected the CDs from the manufacturer on Friday and the overall quality is just not up to scratch. When it comes down to it, artwork either matters or it doesn’t – we choose to believe that it does.”
Using their main palette of amplified nylon string guitar, drums and electronics the brothers give voice to a wide range of styles over the 11 track album. From the subtle tabla tones of Mĕserёv to the full colour explosions in This Slaves Freedom Cries, Jung Turks succeed in encompassing their wide range of influence while finding their own unique voice.
No word as yet on when the LP will make it out the door, but Jung Turks play Upstairs @ Whelans on 29th December – free admission.
