Fronted by the mythic Gary Showbiz, Hot Colossus create a 1978 power-pop-punk-rock songscape. Twin Marshall guitar jets of supersonic sound, a rhythm section locked into full tilt and sprinkled with some psychedelic stardust. But the real magic lies in the songs.
‘Saturation’ is the first of three upcoming EPs by Irish five piece, Hot Colossus. The band command a burgeoning volume of infectious songs, many of which will have been heard at over twenty incendiary live sets throughout 2013, including the Forbidden Fruit Festival. Performances this year have been vividly received and enjoyed by audiences around Ireland.
‘Saturation’ captures the band at their live best. This debut EP spans themes ranging from the supernatural to the love of food and the love of love.
