two tickets to the zod night this saturday for the first person out of the e-hat to answer this question correctly...

what american city are zod records based in?

fingers on buzzers... go!

am i right? am i? am i? it's immaterial cos i don't want to go (sorry tom buh), i just like competitions...

yeah, i realised at 11.34 pm 'hang on.. that's going to make the competition go all arseways' and went back to try and edit myself into oblivion, but it was too late. sorry tom :(

Congratulations to... Wavioli and penexpers. You lucky thangs.

Reminder for everbody else:

This Saturday, February 19th, in the Belvedere (off Parnell Square, Dublin 1), is the Zod Records night, which is being organised by Risc and Alphabet Set, and is part of the Zod european tour 2005. Playing live:

  • Curtis Chip
  • Binray
  • Viberaider
  • Herv
  • Thalamus
€12, 10pm - 3am. There's an article about Zod in the most recent Mongrel magazine, saying that people should expect "jaw-dropping beat chicanery [...] excursions into ambient territory [...] scrap-heaps of sound glued together in the most elegant way" and other things like that.

good luck with the gig anyway, i'll be drunk somewhere else dressed in fishnets and a short skirt.

the next time I see you and say hello, will you please show me
what the prodigy walk is ? this has been tormenting me in a vague
way since first I heard tell of it.

what the hell? where were you for the 90s??

I know the prodigy dance (was madly in love with a guy for a whole
two weeks age 12 cause he looked really cool doing it )
but walk?

some people call it the prodigy step (scobes, mainly).
it's the mad dance in one of their early (ish) videos where the dancin lads' do repeated crossing scissors kicks with their legs while upright.
it looks amazing when done properly, unfortunatly it is stuck in my conscious forever due to the memory of numerous 12-year-old, XworkX-sporting imitators.

i would have to be very drunk to try and show you, sorry.. maybe someone from a dance background would be better.. wav?
