Yeah Brenda Power's an idiot. She did a story on me and my friends when we were expelled from schools when we were fifteen. It was fucking revolting. It was basically 'these kids are scumbags from council estates who go around in white tracksuits and up turned baseball caps terrorising people. their parents are filth, they're over weight mc donalds eating scum who have no control over their kids. so we should hate them.' There was even a big cartoon of a chav-type looking scary to accompany the article.

The basis of what she said was that my friends da went on the telly, is obbese and has a 'working class' accent.

After that obviously she was just being a hate filled bigotted idiot. And was completely wrong. As anyone who knows me will attest her description of us is a bit of the mark. Ultimately we went back to school, two of us (including the main guy) became engineers, two of us are now accountants and one of us was especially screwed over by getting expelled never finished his leaving and doesn't seem to leave his house much nowadays.

Christ it was years ago but when I think back on that period of my life i still get so fucking angry.
