awwwwwww........i thought you might be looking for links to interesting sites about dublin........it's an interesting history when not negated by the fact that you have to learn it for an exam. originally dublin was a small settlement of farmers' huts someplace around bridge street. at that time, the liffey was a wide, marshy estuary which had to bridged with wood etc leading to the first name of the settlement 'atha cliath', the 'hurdle ford'. hence, town of the hurdle ford, baile atha cliath
