Hello Thumped List,

My name is Nate Landry. I'm from Yonkers, New York, USA. Next fall I'll be starting school at Trinity College in Dublin, and I'm really interested in getting my feet wet in the Dublin underground music scene. I love punk, some indie, ska, reggae, 50s rock...favs include the Clash, Fugazi, Dead Kennedys, Billy Bragg, etc. I'm looking for information on everything from record stores to clubs to other musicians, as I am interested in starting a band up over there. I play the rock and roll electric guitar. So anything the list can tell me would be awesome. Thanks.

as you can see, nate, all punkas have been banished from the city of dublin and its environs since the great post-hardcore drone rock revolution of '98. they spend their days wandering the roads "desperately looking for" guitarists. the lost tribe, wandering, seeking solace, influenced by "the usual stuff"...
