Working today and tomorrow, we put out two issues of the paper last week and now have to start on next week's, sigh.

Motivation and concentration at a low point today, luckily there are Quality Streets to distract me.

thanks cpr, though in fairness I can escape to work and stuff. Not so for their ma! They've all got the flu these days and all, it's pretty grim.

I thought we civil servants had it handy getting three days off at Christmas (xmas day, St Steve + 1 privilege day), so are you all telling me you get more than that?

we get xmas day and st stephen's day off I think, plus maybe New Year's Day too. The rest we have to take off as hols.

we get Christmas Day, Stephens Day and the next day off (this year the 29th).
Plus New Year's Day.

Around half of us work the days in between; the other half take 'em off. Thankfully not forced holidays which is a bad idea in my opinion.

I'll be off for 6 days in a row, thanks to the conveniently placed weekend. BUT, When I get back I've to do 6 days work in one day. The busiest time of the year too. It's going to be hell.

im getting three privilege days so am off from xmas eve to jan 5th without having to use any of my holidays. yay for civil services!
