A broadcast comes from spreading seeds over wide area in tilliage, a podcast comes from fucking dweebs at Apple calling the iPod after the pod bay doors, which are in turn named after peas in a pod, tilliage terminology again.

I've a notion i was bitching about this before but iconic is a word that has slipped into wide mis-use in recent years and it's annoying.

Like anything that happened this year, even this decade, not iconic.
Anything that happened long enough ago to be considered memorable, particularly in a situation where people have paid visual homage to it, iconic.

Not really the same, but using the wrong word. Especially with journalists who basically talk for a living. I know it's live radio and they're rushed but saying: "An athlete of this caliper"
Similarly, when men go for their "prostrate exam". Considering all that's involved...
