none of the above, I have the Dallas theme tune stuck in my head going on three
days now.

kill me!

god help you sarah.

I guess i should have made the poll a bit more specific, Im looking for movies here, although the time period is right. If it were tv shows Id have to either go with Grange hill, or Golden Girls.

At the moment I'm opting for Star Wars just for the didlly-diddly-didly-diddle-y bit where it really starts rocking. The real version not the disco one (God that was dreadful).

But different moods, different themes. I like the Indy one. That kicks ass.

And when I hear Superman, well now, where's me blue screen and me cape.

Deadly.

Best theme ever? "A Fistful of Dynamite", or, as it's called on me Francais import, "Il Etait Une Fois La Revolution". Wot I got in Espana.

best soundtracks ever:

Bullit. Without a shadow of a doubt. One of Lalo Schifrin's finest hours.

Vampyros Lesbos, the opening track, Droge CX 9, is also amazing.

Also, Theme to Get Carter, Roy Budd is fandabbydoozy.

But still top of the hill is Bullit. Get this soundtrack if you don't got it already.

Indi music was..hem hem *cough*

deh dehdeh deh deh dehdeh, deh dehdeh deh deh dehdeh deh deh,
deh dehdeh deh deh dehdeh..deh dehdeh deh dehdeh deh dehdeh deh deh deh.

Out of the 3 choices, the Indiana Jones movies get my vote. However I will point out that the Conan The Barbarian soundtrack is even better.

if we're going the Conan route, then Conan the Destroyer can not be topped for theme music

now let me tell you about a time of high adventure!
duh duh du dun du dun du dun du duh

id agree with ulysses here. with citys of gold a close second. i dont remember taxi music, but hill street blues was FANTASTIC, especially when they synthed it up mid 80s.
Taxi:
all electric piano and flute intro, as the taxi comes in over the bridge into NY

MCOG had some DEADLY bits in it, especially the flight of the condor, which was some trippy shit, plus blissed out visuals.
