My friends and I are wanting to go away for a week during the summer to smoe where in Ireland. Whats the best place yee think that we should go seeing that we are all around 18/17 and none of us have full drivers licences, so we're talking about busing to get there but when we do get there not having to walk 4 miles to get to a news agents if you get me?

Any ideas? I wanted to go to Wales or something but the others arent arsed.

galway city is cool, but to really see nicey nicey stuff you'd need a car to get to beaches and other nice spots such as spiddal (spelling?) me thinks.

can't verify this one personally but everyone is going on about kilkenny lately?

Hmm, I think thats a bit to far west, we started off thinking Rosslare , then it was like thats too close to home, so then we said that we'd go to Tramore but I dont like burberry so we aint going there. I looked up dingle and shite like that but they dont look like much fun. If we could get a mix between Kinsale and Tramore?

Yeah my brothers go out in Kilkenny the whole time. Even my current mobile was "found" on a dance floor in Kilkenny.

Galway is too far west but Dingle isn't?
Galway takes 3 hours to get to by bus and dingle takes like 3 days or something...
I would reccomend galway, camping maybe at salthill. You can relive my youth and drink cider and dye your hair in the campsite jaxx sink n get in trouble for getting dye everywhere.
And see the beastie boys play. 1998 it was i think. Beware though, it will rain.

Rent a boat and go down the shannon.
A few of my mates that post here have done it a few times and the first time was when they were your age.

Cavan.

You won't have to worry about walking 4 miles to the nearest newsagents coz there aren't really any.

They were furnished with a roundabout in recent years, so that could be good.

my Dad used to do the maracycle every year. (sponserd cycle from Dublin to Belfast). Anyway all the kids used to be on the street holding out Lucozade and Mars bars for the cyclists. When he got to Cavan all the kids were on the streets asking ( shouting to the cyclists as they were riding by) "here mister give us a Mars bar"

you should head to west Dublin for an exciting week in Tallaght now home to a larger population than galway city
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tallaght

Theres lots to do.
Loads of pubs and nite clubs

The Belgard incorporating coco's nite club
Molloys
The old Mill
The Penny Black

plenty of green space to go knacker drinkin with and lots of friendly youths
to drink with

If you want to go indoors theres the leisure plex with rad games, pool and even bowling.

Oh and clonakilty is class too (train to cork, bus to clon). Loads of beaches to camp on and always tonnes of stuff going on. Mad good vibes in that town. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan.

Oh I forgot about that place. It's the nicest small town I've been to in Ireland. Used to spend a week or two down there every summer for years. Would say it'd be great for going out drinking at night and hanging about the beach all day. Nice food there and some good book shops. You have to go to Clonakilty Roisin!

I wanna go there again.
