one thing to watch out for is connecting the box with anything other than a regular HDMI->HDMI cable, like HDMI->DVI or ->VGA whatever - If there's no HDCP support you won't get any picture.

i did aye. house of cards is downloaded on the pc. mkv and h.264 best formats by the sound of it
