I got distracted there, before I posted my full point. I have a lot of respect for Blindboy, I think he's podcasts are good. They've helped me. And I've met people who have found these podcasts who have never been to our side of the Shannon who like them too. I mean, they like the podcast on its own merits, not because of some Irish connection or something.

His tv stuff, meh. There's worse ways of making a living. Considering that he's gotten the attention of people who LOVE the song "Horse Outside" without realising the irony of it, and nudged them a little bit in the right direction, that's good, isn't it?

Ah no, it's ok to be nice. I think it's more aimed at guys who put on a nice guy front and are complete scumbags to people behind closed doors. Look up "nice guy syndrome".
And their apologists who shy away from the confrontation of having to stand up for someone who may be in trouble. Basically people who seem grand but are no use when there's any sort of trouble.
