Well, it certainly wasn't the cleverest movie at the festival. But as they say, if you like this kind of thing, you'll love this. And I was a huge fan of the comic. So I guess it all just depends where you're coming from.

All action, no plot AT ALL. And how about the characters. I learnt that the main dude is a fighter trained since he was a child. Um, that's pretty much it. How about Spartans mocking some folks as being so gay, when in reality Spartans were having it up the arse in the battlefield all the time. Oh and how about the surprisingly patriotic-american-republic way of justifying war? I first thought that this might be just a coincidence due to the historical nature of the film, but it was historically so erratical and they could've easily avoided that feel IF they'd wanted. Uh uh uh...
