What movie did you watch last night? (8 Viewers)

Grrr... missed it! Humph!

I watched Bulletproof Monk on tv. Either atrociously bad or cunningly cleverly bad. Not sure which. The fact that I didn't change the channel says something for it - I'm just not sure what.

was he really bulletproof?

i got home and watched Black Rain.. hadn't watched in in years and years but i used to really love it and paid lots to buy it when it first came out on video. it's dated, like only a michael douglas movie can, but i still love it..
motorbikes and yakusa and andy garcia getting his head chopped off..

still love the final chase on the motorbikes through the rice fields!

i watched conan the barbarian

- Conan, what is best in life?

- To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

- That is good!!

i still say Conan The Destroyer is better

Grace Jones -"i swear that if Conan will let me ride with him, i will give my life for him"

Arnie -"we shall see!"

was he really bulletproof?

Yes, he was, as was proved when he survived 2 shouldabeenfatal Nazi shootings. He was also tatooed with the text of some mystical scroll that held the secret to imortality or something.

I can never quite understand why people have to die to guard a secret that is never to be used... why not just lose the secret permanently and then get on with life?

The cooler - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0318374/

Surprisingly good low budget vegas flick with William H. Macy
and Alec Baldwin. Not the most original story after the cooler bit but
looked good and all the preformances were watchable.

The life and death of Peter Sellers - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0352520/

What a prick of a genius. Excellent performances and I loved the
stepping outside the story and the medium that happened throughout.
At the end of it all though the film seemed really insubstantial and like it was simply a vehicle for Rush to impress us all with his great mimicry.

what did you think of the guy who gets his fingers shot off?
he seemed displeased with Travis.
'I kill you, I kill you, you crazy son of a bitch'

possibly my favourite scene ever.

He seemed pretty pissed all right.

I actually found it funny - is that wrong?

He was so persistent, when many others would have been inclined to just lie there sobbing for lost fingers!

Beuller?................Beuller?..........................Beuller?

Really liked the soundtrack for this. Strange how i wanted to punch ferris in the face this time round though.

I always had a secret crush on Cameron (Alan Ruck)

which I guess isn't a secret anymore... oh well.

No, I found it hilarious too.

If I want to cheer myself up I get out the DVD and watch that scene.
