Well, perhaps because of how the video is achieved makes it so deadly, the tune is a bit meh, but at least its real musicians.

Great to see Thumped continues to plummet in terms of idiot remarks. .|..|

Rap is dead, its more about the beats and the wonk you put in 'em these days. The ones still throwing words together in interesting ways are...

Iz Real,
Blu and Exile,
Frank n Dank,
Young Black Preachers,

....but it's all about the other LA beat scene right now. Check

Daddy Kev,
Dj Nobody,
Free The Robots,
Exile,

The Low End Theory do a monthly podcast thats always a refreshing rub of the nuts. Its up to episode 6 at the moment, mixed by Nobody and Mono/poly.

ANYWAY, THIS RAP VIDEO IS BETTER THAN YOURS.......

I'm also digging other wonky instrumental stuff like Onra, Fulgeance, Mike Slott, Hudson Mohawk & Flying Lotus. This is a great compilation of the same

I happen to prefer music performed by musicians rather than sampled material predominantly based on other peoples work. I expressed an opinion. Deal with it.

Ommas Keith has a great track out with Mark Pritchard, a throw back to some miami bass good stuff. Its on Hyperdub, some Red Bull Music Academy hook-up.

The All-City stuff is awesome alright.

One problem I have with all the Bullion/Dorian Concept/Mike Slott jittery shit is that its becoming very formulaic and rushed. Not many folk dropping serious albums, just bangin' EPs and 12s. For a sound that was originally so fresh, its gonna get generic very fast unless people chill the beans a bit. I think these type of tracks work best when they're mixed up with a bit of everything else from dubstep to jazz to psych-rock.

No, because I find its the weapon of choice of waaaay to many muppets who fail to ever do anything creative with it. I do play instruments though.
