UNYIELDING LOVE:
Signup | Bandcamp

Grind/Noisecore outfit from Belfast featuring members of ABBOTOIR, STEADY DECLINE and KATABOLISIS.

Formed last autumn, Belfast newcomers Unyielding Love have certainly made people sit up and pay attention. From playing gigs with noise outfits like Wet Nurse and Knifedoutofexistence, right down to getting on the bill for the Siege of Limerick and the Dark Arts Festival in Galway. Reviewing their first gig in the Warzone Centre, Metal Ireland concluded that they “could be the most exciting band to come out of Belfast since Nomadic Rituals.”

KNIFEDOUTOFEXISTENCE:
One-man audio terrorist Knifedoutofexistence will probably be a familiar face to anyone with an interest in the UK’s current grind scene. You might have seen him at this year’s Chimpyfest, for instance, or plying his noisy wares with Water Torture on their recent UK tour. Despite only being active for around two years, Knifedoutofexistence has already built up an impressive discography, including a number of splits with both noise and hardcore bands alike. His latest album, ‘Immaturity Of Movement’, is undoubtedly his most cohesive work yet, weaving together lengthy, hypnotic feedback loops, punishing swathes of distortion and tortured vocals to create a bleak atmosphere that manages to somehow sound simultaneously introspective and aggressive.

THE MAGNAPINNA:
Hardcore/noise/sludge/altrock FFO: Neurosis, Kyuss. New arrivals on the Cork scene.

Luchador Gigs Presents:

BETUNIZER (Spanish noise)
HANDS UP WHO WANTS TO DIE (noise/harsh sounds)
EL BASTARDO (Cork buckie-noise)

FRED ZEPPELIN'S, PARLIAMENT ST.
THURSDAY NOVEMBER 26TH @ 9PM
€5/€4 with flyer or Gigaholic card

BETUNIZER:
Enciende Tu Lomo, by Betunizer

Having toured extensively in France, Italy, Germany and Spain, the last weekend in November marks the first visit of Betunizer to Irish shores. They will be showcasing their unique brand of discordant yet bouncey noise rock around the Island with fellow Noise hoors; Hands Up Who Wants to Die.

"Those fans of contemporary modern sounds will feel at home, just as a caveman would if he mistakenly time-travelled to one of their concerts. Betunizer sound black and white at the same time. Modern and ancestral. Enjoyment, rhythms, whipping and lashing, art." - Brit Es Magazine

HANDS UP WHO WANTS TO DIE:
Vega In The Lyre, by Hands Up Who Wants To Die

Hands Up Who Wants to Die are four furious messers who got together in late 2008 to make music that would capture the zeitgeist and inner city pressures of the crumbling society that surrounded them in the Dublin, Ireland. Their songs have been described as “off-kilter noise rock”, and as “socially aware slab punk with constant discordant meanderings”.

Hands Up have played many corners of the world touring Belarus, Lithuana, Ukraine, Holland, Germany & England. They have shared the stage with The Redneck Manifesto, Adebisi Shank, BATS, Don Vito, Marvin, Warlords Of Pez and many more.

EL BASTARDO:

"After not so much a peep from the band since late 2010, the one and only EL BASTARDO, fronted by Cork stalwart Noel Lynch (KAWTICS and way too many others to list…), have just announced their return to the local gigging scene.

After earlier recordings which included a demo and split 7″ with the mighty SLOMATICS back in 2005, EL BASTARDO began recording their first album “Versus You” which after many delays and hiccups eventually found it’s way online in 2010. As to what guise the band will take shape in for this reunion/reformation, is anyone’s guess at the moment. But the band went from originally forming as a three-piece to becoming a nine (might have been ten, at one point…) headed hydra before they slipped away nearly five years ago.

Whatever the current line-up may be, it’s f**king great to hear that EL BASTARDO will be making noise again!" - Irish Metal Archive

Hi, I've recently moved to Dublin, found this forum searching for info on noise/punk gigs and local bands. Will keep an eye on gig announcements here and on Tenterhooks FB page, any other suggestions so I don't miss anything interesting?
