I watch it mainly to see Jeremy Paxman's incredulous expression when a contestant's answer is off by a couple of centuries..

I normally get about 10 questions right.

Yeah, they won in the end. It was really really close with the other team winning up til about 5 minutes to go, then the brainy wans team just got starter after starter and got every single bonus question. Excellent final.

Sorry I missed the final this year. I might be doing an MA in a UK university next year so I am defo going to try out for a university challenge team.

I think it's an open test first and then the numbers get whittled down from there. It's interesting to see who different Uni's pick as captain. Some are clearly the most knowledgeable, but there is loads of teams where the captain knows feck all.
