OK i've sent some DV footage off on a couple of DVD-R's to someone and his stupid Mac can't read them.

They're formatted as UDF rather than ISO - do stupid Mac's need a stupid extension or a stupid patch or something to read UDF DVD's/ CD's?

I know what ISO is, but what's UDF?

Generally Macs will read any (Mac, ISO, PC format) discs, (where as stupid PCs won't read 'Mac folder and files' format!). It might not run the stuff on the files, but you should be able to see it at least.

If its offering your friend the option to initalize the disc when he inserts it, its a problem.

Just do it as ISO like, why can't everything be ISO?
