i always thought, that at his best, DeNiro was the better actor, but made some very, very bad filums.

On the other hand, Pacino has generally speaking made only one bad film that I can think of which was Simone, but never had the same presence or power that DeNiro had when he really turned it on (like DeNiro in Raging Bull)

and Peter Sellers only at no.57, when he gave one of the best performances on screen ever in Dr. Strangelove...bollox to that.

PACINO Vs. De Niro

When not acting via the not so subtle art of shouting his way through a film, I would say Pacino has had the more credible career of late then De Niro. Pacino was magnificent in Donnie Brascoe and Insomnia. By my reckoning the last worthy performance from De Niro was in Jackie Brown.
