Classic gig from Oi Polloi, been a long time since I seen a frontman like him and after reading previous threads where people said how good they were on the other Irish tour dates I was def not let down.
Dancing was crazy.
Only Fumes and Corpses as people had said are much much improved.

gig was the best i have been in ireland since i came here.
oi polloi and only fumes and corpses was great
i have lot's of fun and i was a sober

Came straight from work and had to drive home!
Took less than 10 minutes back into town!

Very good gig. Social Lube are getting better with each passing gig. Had never heard anything by Oi Polloi before tonight. Quite impressed. Certainly put on a good show.

Being able to understand some of that Scottish stuff was weird though.

Just watched the whole show again and fuck most of it was brilliant, 1 or 2 songs while not bad were not as strong as the rest they done.

"Fuck the NDP" - This is one of the first songs we ever wrote. We actually recorded it for our EP but we left it out in the end. We'll stick up a rough mix of it on our myspace soon.
Song #2

This is an yet untitled newish song. This is the first song that our second guitarist Conor (who joined at the end of last year) wrote most of. Needs a few backing vocals anf then its done.

Seriously must film a full set of yours, some of your stuff was excellent, obviously the fast stuff....that vocalist is amazing.

I upped the full Oi Polloi gig to a Punk Torrent site and fuck they love it, have upped over a gig so far, didn't go to bed til 5.30 in the end.....

One wee complaint was it was a short set......I know the old we ran outta time cliche will be thrown out but this is happening alot lately at the Lower Deck.....either have 1 less act on or get the bands on earlier....
Problem is that they were so good that at 38 mins it just seemed premature to wrap up that quickly and don't forget he yaps between each song which I'm sure was a full 10-12 mins too.

need to get the licensing laws sorted out, so stupid the way everything shuts at 1/2. all night drinkin all the way. it really is such a shame the aquatting laws here are so harsh as well or we could have our own social space again (r.i.p. giros) seomra spraoi is really class like but its not really noisy

The best gig i've ever seen in the lower deck!! Good mixed crowd and its a pity more gigs dont attract this sort of thing

Oi polloi set was very fucking short...i'm glad i wasn't the only one that realized that...the set was over even before midnight but it was worth the fiver in.





seomra spraoi has a feel of a library to me.
