TONIGHT: DJ C / Kid Kameleon / DJ RIPLEY - wowsie!
Thursday 29th June,
underground@kennedys
with LIVE VJ Trickery from the PUSSYKREW
look forward to this humdinger but take 3 days off work to dance, anyone who went to Arron Spectre will know what this means.
DJ C has pumping out a series of records on labels like Kid606s Shockout, the London-baced Scandal Bag, and his own Mashit. The tunes have been killing club sound-systems and airwaves worldwide. Legendary BBC Radio 1 host John Peel chose Mashit as a "label of the month" in October, 2004, and featured a DJ C mix of Mashit tracks (Real stream). He's also been dropping remixes for singers like M.I.A. (XL Recordings), and reggae legend Gregory Isaacs (Shockout/Tigerbeat6). More releases on said labels are in the works, as well as tunes on Strategy's Community Library imprint, Bristol, U.K. label Death$ucker, the Beat Research label, and a digital EP for Cozy Music. He's currently finishing up a full-length album for release later this year.
