Having spent 2010 gathering ever increasing global praise with their debut album "She Was Coloured" for Planet Mu records, Dublin electronic phenomenon Solar Bears play their first ever Irish headline show, at a free admission party in the Button Factory on Saturday May 28. For this special performance the band have invited some of their favourite artists to join them, with a live set from Young montana? (whose excellent new Limerence LP, has just been released on Alpha Pup) and a DJ Set from Andrew Hung of F**k Buttons (check out on of his awesome sets here http://www.mediafire.com/?68cvl9q3zd96xg4).

Solar Bears
Solar Bears features two members, John Kowalski and Rian Trench. The group released their debut EP Inner Sunshine and album She Was Coloured for Planet Mu to worldwide critical acclaim in 2010. Both received glowing praise from Pitchfork, Gorilla VS Bear, FACT Magazine, The Fader, Rough Trade, NME and The Irish Times. The album also featured heavily in best of end of year lists, taking influence from Moroder, Neu, Bjork, Morricone and Aphex Twin. Tape machines and handheld recorder are used to created a dated recording sound while blending analogue and digital technology as well as acoustics with electronics. It has created a huge impact on the blogosphere and in music publications simultaneously. The band also remixed artists such as Keep Shelly In Athens and Sun Airway

While his band are recording the next album, Andy Hung (one half of F**k Buttons) is keeping the clubs jumping with an intoxicating blend of cosmic dance music. Limerence is the debut album by Young Montana?, the 20 year-old producer who was plucked from obscurity out of Coventry, UK when Mary Anne Hobbs of the BBC Radio 1 anointed him as her "Favorite Unsigned Artist of 2010." __Playful yet complex, the controlled chaos of Limerencedisplays Young Montana?'s pristine sense of sonic exploration.
