Hi, there are 100 tickets left for tonights Dinosaur Jr concert. they are available in city discs, road records & sound cellar now, and whatever amount remain unsold will be available on the door tonight.

PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL BE A VERY LOUD PERFORMANCE. EARPLUGS, WHICH ARE AVAILABLE FROM MOST CHEMISTS ARE RECCOMENDED

How loud is very loud???

Unbearebly so or just quite a racket??
I've seen Mogwai in the uber-noise prime and that was .|..| .|..| loud but not unbearably so, I've never used ear plugs before, are they really necessary??

It wasn't that loud. In fact when J stopped playing you it sounded like the drums and bass were barely miked up. Fairly typical apaulling TBMC sound. They seemed tired and cranky, it showed in their playing. I thought the Ambassador gig was better....
Nice to hear Feel the Pain etc but they pailed alongside the older stuff.

I'm gonna be really controversial and say that Giveamanakick were better than Dinosaur. They were amazing.

Enjoyed dinosaur but it didn't really blow me away.

My one good working ear is in ribbons this morning however.

Highlight of the night for me was, just before GAMAK came on, they played that song 'Buggin' by Whistle. I hadn't heard hit since I was 10. Great tune;

Quite an enjoyable gig.
Abandoned the earplugs halfway through.
Drank a helluva lot (before, during and afterwards) and am in total ribbons today. I wish someone would send me home.

Really glad I went to this. Kinda dragged out the ends of Forget the Swan and Gargoyle with excessive widdly widdly action I thought...

Nearly lost the run of meself on hearing Kracked and Sludgefeast though.
