what's the best lyric you ever made up? the way i see it, your art-drone sofa is a pretty comfortable place from which to be slagging tall people's lyrics.

i'm not gonna say until Neilo says first. i mean he did start this.
or this is really about sonic youth? is this really about lyrics? is it really about my bands? is this you just "getting at" the same people on the internet over and over and over and over?

next, vinnie, next kirstie, next vinnie, next dip, next next next

tiresome

age: 30

but yeah, in answer to your question, no, i don't have any words to drop here. jamie wrote all the lyrics in serpents, i just joined in. something about something being on fire. something about something about a house.

but is it really what you want to know?

those serpents lyrics sound like he's on fire by sonic youth... hey andy, remember that time you punched me in the face and started crying? and then called me up to apologise? ah ha ha ha, true story. this kind of shit is really funny coming from you... what are you now, the internet gent? man, you've got to know why i take pokes at dip and kirstie... i can't stand gossip, especially when i'm the victim. vinnie's just a dick, plain and simple. IMHO of course.

but really, until you've tried to write your own lyrics, you shouldn't really go slagging someone else's. anyone can pick up a guitar and train themselves to play it (except vinnie) but it's a real talent to be able to write some decent lyrics. and BTW, society is a hole. it does make me lie to my friends.

Hag I don't mean offence by this, and I don't want to provoke arguments but for crying out loud put your laundry away from public view for once and for all. For everyone's sake. I don't mean to embarass anyone but seeing as you bring everything up in public, I'm addressing it in public too.

embarrass? ha ha ha, you're amazing. amazingly patronising. on a scale of 1-10, you score around 50 million. no offense of course and i'm not trying to start any fights. i'm just chewing the fat with my brain and typing it out.

Back to SY - and specifically the new '6/6/06' album mentioned in the bitchfork news blurb - NME had a recent interview with Thurston where he claims influence for this new album comes from Blue Oyster Cult's 3rd and 4th album, and one song was particularly influenced by the Friends theme tune. Is this Thurston in traditional court jester mode, fucking with NME (vomit) because they deserve it? Maybe. It wouldn't be the first time he took mainstream media for a spin.

Also, the news that Ecstatic Peace will deal with Universal just means that worthy artists will now hopefully get the press and distribution which is due them. People are very quick to yell 'jump the shark' these days.. when it doesn't have any meaning anymore. Sell out, buy in.. whatever. As long as my local record shop starts getting good music more regularly then I'm happy.
