This month Kush is proud to present live sets from two incredibly talented producers, Sunken Foal and Cignol as well as DJ sets from two of our favourite vinyl junkies, T-woc and Platinum Ray.
Sunken Foal (Dunk Murphy) released his debut album Fallen Arches on Planet-Mu records alongside the Fermented Condiments E.P. in late 2008. Since then, he has played a string of successful gigs developing a unique 'finger-triggered' improvisational live performance setup with Rod Morris. In 2009 Dunk was commissioned by BBC Radio 1 to record a session (featuring Jürgen Simpson and Cormac Dermody) for the Mary Anne Hobbs Experimental Show and also contributed to John Lambert's online Relay Project remixing a piece by Warp Records Bibio. Lately his music has taken a more rhythmic turn providing a swaggering multi-coloured remix for Blue Daisy's Blood Petal Roses on Black Acre records. His new E.P. Mother of God is set to drop on Acroplane Recordings in late 2010.
Alphabet Sets melontronic maestro, Cignol, delves into his laptop shaped bag of tricks to bring us his own special blend of delicious electronica, techno and electro. Playing brand new material such as tracks from his recently released album Switching for a Living, expect lush pads and dope beats served up with a side of funk.
