A friend of mine did this music box cover version of Scottish band Love and Money's 'Whisky Dream'. It's nice.

DECIMA VICTIMA from Madrid (1981-84)
were an early you tube discovery - dark wave post punk.
Décima Víctima (discogs link)
they also ran Grabaciones Accidentales label
Grabaciones Accidentales (discogs link)

notice the bassist and guitarist who have an interesting background story
song begins 52 seconds in:
studio version of "La Razon...."

THE ASSOCIATES - 28 April 1981 Peel Session

complete with Peel's comments.
my favourite recording by my favourite pop band.

the key here is Alan Rankine's guitar - it's high in the mix.
which strangely was not the case in the Mike Hedges produced
versions that ended up on their records (particularly as Alan
wrote pretty all the band's music).
these reverb soaked recordings sound huge.

this is one the best things i've ever heard -
"All you can think about is what a great time you're having" was never truer.
