Anyone been to the new look Thomas House? I stuck my head around the door and it looks pretty tacky, although judging by the posters it looks like they'll have a similiar music policy to the old days.

I went in about a month ago. The decor is similar to the nightclub in eastenders.

I've been in there twice - both times on the way home after a night out. It's ok I suppose.

Been in there only once since it reopened. Didn't impress me too much (I agree that the fishtanks are worrisome; what's next, ferns?) Plus, I have too many memories of the place, and will probably never be able to get rid of a "just ain't the same" feeling toward the place.

Hope it does well, though. It's a good spot.

I finally got around to popping in yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The decor doesn't seem to be as tacky once you get used to it. The music was pretty good, it was fairly comfortable and a few different beers to choose from. Not what it uused to be, but I'll definitely go back.

Moved nearby on Saturday and had one pint in here. Kinda industrial feel into it but the music had too much soul to complement that atmosphere.

hmmm, it was the scene of too many by now firmly rose tinted drunken debauchs (debauches?) to ever be able to live up to the memories. I thought it was pretty lameo as well. I'm sure I'll go back though.
