i always get the answers im looking for here, im trying to set up a sub account for network play for my son on his ps3, obviously i have the master account in my name so as to be able to set parental controls etc but im struggling to set him up for network play.... hes getting vexed at this stage, any ideas anyone

More details? Is it working for you but not for him or what?

You may need to go in to your router and open some ports or set up port forwarding or some such.
