The 'share a song you can't stop playing' thread (1 Viewer)

The guy in the XX's voice is pretty bad isn't it? Sounds like Tricky singing straight love songs. Doesn't work for me. The music is alright apart from that.

Never really paid much attention to them so I can't really make a judgement on the rest of their songs. This song just struck my mood (I suppose) when it popped up on shuffle.

Hadn't heard it in real life for over a year, but its been in my head all day, and now I just heard it on John Kelly's 2XM show.

I have a thing for songs with "ooohs"

One of Davis' finest compositions I think. Brilliant soloing all around too. I must admit, I'm not a major fan of the album it's off - this piece seems to be on a much higher level than the other tunes.

Joachim Cooder (Ry Cooder's son) released a record, Love On a Real Train, that's a music project where he wrote the music and asked a bunch of people to put vocals to it. Petra Haden (of 90's That Dog fame) is one of the vocal contributors (she doesn't sing, more like layered vocal harmonies). Contender for record of the year in my books, it's lovely.

One of my favorite tracks: Bright Like Blue (feat. Frank Lyon).

Fantastic music although I'm not too mad about Brucey's cameo. I heard this via the Pitchfork 500. It's nearly worth trawling through it for gems like this, although it takes yonks.
