Heard that version about 15 years before discovering it was based on Lou Reeds song. Was listening to the original in the car last week. My mam was with me at the time, but thankfully we arrived before before Lou dropped the C word towards the end...

Love love love that Lou Reed song. This however is what I can't stop playing at the moment. Random record on Phil Elverum's label that I for some reason stumbled upon on the internet and got curious about, just got the record in the mail today after listening to it on soundcloud a good few times.

Kind of reminded me of the way I used to find record through random recommendations rather than just through streamlined blog-surfing. Ah, nostalgia.

I can't seem to find a way to embed the soundcloud player on that page. But trust me, its good if you like Oregon/Washington State indie of the noughties.

I have been listening to this album over and over and over again since I got it. Definitely one of the best albums of twenny ten.
