My son had his first practice this afternoon with some schoolmates for their end of year music exams. They're playing a Greend Day song and are thinking about an ACDC song as well. Two guitars, drums and a singer. They need to pick up a bass player.
When I collected him, he was just grinning from ear to ear. Had a blast.
Reminded him that playing in a rock band is all about getting the chicks.
Good lad, he is.

had his exam today. the band flaked off on him about a weeks ago, so he did it himself anlong to CD.

the doors - blending classical/blues/rock.
deep purple - rock guitarist with classical roots.

has he any editions of guitar hero?? if he's played it a bit then his ears are already open to all those tunes.
