hey pete, I like the smaller font, but I have one suggestion. I would guess that some people might find reading long passages of text difficult, but if you increased the line height of the posted message text in your css it would probably help legibility a lot. merely a suggestion!
I tried it in IE and it worked fine.

seconded, this would be a good option to silence us whingers. and whilst your there, maybe an option to turn off the entire top banner bit (i.e. the thumped logo & menu)?? maybe stick that ad removing bit around the block of code up there?
