I love that Pains album - they were selling advance copies of it back when they supported the wedding present before Christmas. It's not particularly groundbreaking or anything but they do the fuzzy indiepop thing really well. They were great live too and are apparently back in the UK in May - any chance somebody would put them on here again?

thats where I heard them first too. Their live set was a lot poppier than the album (if thats possible). It was great.

The album is great. I love it, and am not ashamed to say so.

These remind me a bit of Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Moreso the song 'Our Composition Book', but I couldn't find that on youtube (its on myspace).

I recommend listening to Friendly Ghost about 40 times a day for the rest of your life. They're basically the Unicorns but not as good. 'mazin.

I got their new one today, and while its been done a million times before, I really like it. If I was 18 again, they'd be my favourite band. But then, I even have a mild soft spot for the Vaccines of the recent scutter thread. Give me generic indie pop over generic rock/ generic grunge/ generic anything
