Indeed, The Oppressed are one of me favourite bands. I've been looking into how to get there, is the ferry the easiest way?

Not sure.
If you book well in advance a plane is a better bet.
I filmed the Oppressed when they played here in The Voodoo a few years back but alas that tape went belly up in a few fuck ups.

Just been looking on Aer Arann and it's 160 for flights over on Saturday and back on Sunday. 108 for over Friday and back Sunday

bad timing, weekend and Valentine's all at the same time, puts fares up. ryanair don't do Cardiff

Aerlingus don't go to Cardiff on that Sat and don't return on that Sunday.
That is shit high, Boat so!

here Chris, the ferries go every day usually twice a day , probably not able to anymore, but you used to be able to hitch onto the ferry and get a free trip. just stick your thumb out where all the cars line up.

Ryanair to Bristol for e81 at moment, just across the bay from Cardiff- shoudn't be a long bus/train trip.

Train is cheap as chips from Bristol to Cardiff. Bristol airport is a fair distance outta the city, although the bus isn't too expensive.

aer Arann have some "big happy hour offer" tommorow, Thursday that you can only book between 1 and 3 - they fly from dublin and cork to cardiff.

could be worth checking out for anyone thinking of going to this
