Tried to bump the original thread but wasn't allowed, no fair!

So, crikey, it's been 10 years since the original release of the 'The Lonely World...'. 10 long years....

To mark the anniversary, we've had the LP remastered and will be re-releasing it on Sept 10th, in a revolutionary pay what you want model on bandcamp.com.
The album was recorded and mixed in a 4 day blur, and we rushed the mastering to get it released in time. As a result, we were never happy with the production, it's a big low end mess, a lot of bass where you can't actually pick out the bass playing. Seeing as then Corpo bass player Pip was also known as the fingers of flame, it's been a long standing shame he could never be properly heard.

Our pal Dubh David Black volunteered some months back to remaster the album, and has done the most staggering job, really poring over every little detail, cleaning up the murk and bringing the LP to life. We're so very pleased.

Anyway, Pete here is hosting an exclusive mp3 from the LP, have a go of this internet link

How does it sound?

I'll post the bandcamp link on Sept 10th. Cheers!

So lets get this straight, you release an album, the next day the largest terrorist attack in modern history happens, and you're re-releasing it now ?

Right I'll be in my bunker so.

I bought this 10 years ago I liked it a lot and then lost it 8 years ago. I might buy it again.

I might not. I'm like that.

Aye, I remember coming in late to work the night after the launch, all cheery and hungover, wondering why the WTC was on the telly. Cue sinking feeling.

I love this album.
Missed the release gig by one day. Flew back in from Chicago on 11th September 2001.
Bought it in Freebird that week (along with TRM 36 Strings and The Jimmy Cake Brains... catching up with all the releases i'd missed over the summer!)
Can i get my money back on my undefinitive album now?

PS Who supported at that release gig? Was it Rollers/Sparkers and someone else?

Still think the first line of that album is "Doh, ray me, assholes"

I've never asked if I'm right or wrong... until now...
