I was trying to figure out earlier which Lego train I had, I think it was that one pictured but I could swear you had a different one to me. I'm very confused now.

The transformer was a big grey box with a black dial. One of the outputs went up to 12 volts, so we used to use it on a race car track where the cars were rated to 4.5 volts. With 12 volts we could get them to jump across the room.Here did your train have a yellow speed wheel on a black controller?
