What in the world is a boutique style festival?

Does that mean it's posh with cranky snobby sales-staff??

sounds like something that isn't MOR to me...
Not sure where people picked up the idea of it being in some way 'posh'.
A boutique style festival is generally a smaller (and cosier) festival with a quite distinct flavour across the acts... e.g the Big Chill, All Tomorrow's Parties, even Dedbeat. The advantages of a smaller crowd is that hopefully it removes all the negative things you associate with big festivals - massive queues and traffics jams, inedible food etc.
