Cork's best-kept secret 'The David Nelligan Thing' released an album called 'Dark Matters' last week on Bandcamp.
If you get a download code for 'Dark Matters' in Plugd Records (Cork), it comes with a dashing light switch poster (which includes lyrics and track listing). If you're not in Cork, Bandcamp's the way to go (sorry, no poster for you, but the digital artwork's quite good too).
In the month-long run-up to the album launch, The David Nelligan Thing released one video each week of a different song from the album. If you missed these, you can watch them at our audiofu page. Or here, if the embed codes work...
We're crowdsourcing our publicity, which basically means shamelessly asking anyone who sees this to like and share the videos or the Bandcamp page or the Facebook or any or all of it. Engaging with social media is the best hope for independent acts to cut out the middlemen and greasy business types and have a chance at building a career through honest engagement with people - or 'end-users' as a greasy business type might put it - people who genuinely enjoy the music. It's getting anyone to listen that's the most difficult part. Thanks for reading this, anyway.
